Responsible Gaming

Morrinsville RSA understands the importance of providing responsible gaming programs and initiatives to assist those people who may experience difficulties with their gaming activities and to ensure that all patrons are well informed.

We strive to understand problem gambling and will seek to prevent abuse of gaming entertainment and to provide support for the treatment of gambling addiction.

Gaming Machine Grants

A purpose of the Gambling Act is to ensure that money obtained from gambling benefits the Community. To do this, Net proceeds from Gaming machines are required to be applied or distributed to Authorised Purposes, some by way of Grants to the Community.

Should your Community Group wish to apply for a Grant they may do so by completing a "Grant Application Form" which is available for download here or available from the Club itself.

All applications are assessed on their merits by the Morrinsville RSA Executive Committee. Availability of funds is also considered when applications are received. Please note; As per Internal Affairs requirements, Grants can not be made to individuals.

An information sheet regarding gaming machine grants is available for download here.
